10.24.06 Tuesdays Reflection

It's not simply a matter of handing out money, food or equipment. It
calls for more than that. Our response is to share who we are as well
are what we have.
     Spirit and Lifestyle

I have two tools in developing my spiritual life. One is Spirit and
Lifestyle. The other is the promise I make each December as a
Volunteer of God, the Associate Group of the Secular Institute of the
Oblates of Mary Immaculate. I am called to live and witness the
charity of Christ by means of 5 attitudes of life:

Presence of God: To be attentive to the presence of God in the
present moment.

Absence of destructive criticism: To cultivate a spirit of love for
every person.

Absence of useless complaint: To welcome events in a positive way.

Being of service: To have concern for others.

Peacemaker: To strive to build peace in all circumstances.

Both are challenging and life-giving!
