I treasure Hank Zyp's drawings </div> <div> - not as perfect now that he's had a stroke, but as touching as ever.</div> <bR> <div> This year's card includes a poem by Dom Helder Camara, the Brazilian </div> <div> bishop who was as small, humble and poor as the poor with whom he lived.</div> <bR> <div> <I>”Some people still have the impression</I></div> <div> <I>that Christ's liberation is a spiritual</I></div> <div> <I>liberation, the liberation from sin.</I></div> <div> <I>But when you read the Gospel carefully</I></div> <div> <I>you discover Christ was challenging</I></div> <div> <I>the worst domination of his time -</I></div> <div> <I>theocracy, pharisaic, authorities</I></div> <div> <I>that were oppressing the people</I></div> <div> <I>in the name of God.</I></div> <bR> <div> <I>The day someone discovers how</I></div> <div> <I>to unify, without uniting,</I></div> <div> <I>the different groups of every</I></div> <div> <I>country, of every continent,</I></div> <div> <I>of every race and religion,</I></div> <div> <I>then we will have found a strength</I></div> <div> <I>that is more powerful even than</I></div> <div> <I>nuclear power - the strength</I></div> <div> <I>of love”.</I></div> <bR> <div> That is where the real strength lies.</div> <bR> <div> Cecily</div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
